This 3 1/2" OD ductile iron swing hanger with shackle pendulum is a galvanized playground hanger designed for secure swing support.
It features an opening 1/2'' wide, a pendulum that is 1” wide, and a shackle with bolt, so there is no need for a connecting S-hook. The lower half of the swing hanger body includes a shackle pendulum with a sintered bronze bearing to help reduce wear. The bearing is impregnated with oil, so it does not need to be oiled. It also has a .51 ID oil light bearing and axle bolt with lock tight nut and accepts a 12mm bolt.
The hanger is cast in two halves and bolted together with a 12mm carriage bolt and a hex lock tight nut. The pendulum is held to the hanger with a #12 axle bolt with a long shoulder, so the bearing does not ride on the threads. The shackle pendulum is tamper resistant and requires an allen wrench with a special pin hole head.
This hanger fits a standard schedule 40 three inch pipe. Do not torque more than 25ft-lbs. when installing. It meets all ASTM standards for playgrounds and has a tensile strength of 8600 lbs. Sold as each. During routine monthly maintenance checks, inspect playground equipment for cracks, rough edges, binding, torn or missing parts, cracked plastic, or rust, and replace any equipment that does not pass inspection.
