This 36 Gallon Bear Resistant Trash Receptacle is designed and tested to keep bears out. It is certified by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) using the IGBC protocol, certificate number 5106.
Built from welded heavy 12 gauge and 14 gauge steel with 7 gauge bracing, this square receptacle includes a base with four holes for anchors and an anchor kit. It must be anchored to a hard surface to be considered "bear proof."
The receptacle features a sloped top with a 16'' square hatch opening, a self-closing commercial duty latch under a formed steel guard, and a tightly fitted 29'' tall front access door with a self-closing latch. It also includes an interior rain drain, a 36 gallon rigid plastic liner, a decal, and an anchor kit.
Available finishes and decal options include brown, green, blue, black, or speckled tan. Optional recycling insert plates with 3 different diameter hole sizes are sold separately.
