Anchor Shackle Standard Steel Special Head 5/16" is designed to replace S-hooks on playground equipment.
Unlike S-hooks, this shackle can be used multiple times and is easier to install and uninstall. It has a 1/2" opening at the bolt and measures 1" at the widest point, allowing it to accept up to a 1/2" chain.
This shackle works with all of our swing hangers and chains and meets all ASTM standards for playgrounds.
During routine monthly maintenance checks, inspect playground equipment for cracks, rough edges, binding, torn or missing parts, cracked plastic, or rust. Replace any equipment that does not pass inspection to help keep kids safe.
