Fast Patch Orange-Black is a poured-in-place surfacing repair kit for repairing the wear layer of poured-in-place surfacing.
Each kit contains pre-measured Orange EPDM, Black SBR rubber, and binder or glue. All Fast Patch kits include aliphatic binder. Unlike aromatic binders, aliphatic binders are UV stable, do not amber/yellow in the sun, and can be used around pools or splash pads.
Choose the size that fits your repair: Fast Patch Small repairs 3 sq ft of surfacing at 1/2'' depth; Fast Patch repairs 6 sq ft at 1/2" depth; Fast Patch XL repairs 12 sq ft at a depth of 1/2". It is also excellent for rubber playground surfaces, running tracks, construction or repair of transition ramps, and filling gaps between the sidewalk and playground surface.
General use: cut away the damaged section, clean out loose rubber, open the kit, add the binder to the pre-measured rubber, mix thoroughly, lightly coat the edge of the repair area with the remaining binder, squeeze the mixed material into the cut area, trowel smooth, and allow to dry. Many customers create decorative shapes and use a contrasting color for the repair.
We strongly recommend coating the playground with MaxxClear H2O surface conditioner to stop further granular damage and help faded colors pop again. For repairs in the safety zone deeper than 1/2", use the base layer material and refer to CPSC Publication 325 for safe-zone guidance.
