The H-Shackle w/Special Head is a playground swing connector designed to replace S-hooks. It requires wrench H175 to open and close, and the special head makes removal more difficult in vandalism-prone settings.
Key specifications include an overall length of 3 5/16”, bolts that are 3/8” diameter, an inside smaller opening of ½” across, and a larger opening of ¾”. It works with our swing hangers and chains.
Unlike S-hooks, this shackle can be used multiple times, is much easier to install, and is much stronger. Some cities and parks require its use instead of S-hooks.
This product meets all ASTM standards for playgrounds. During routine monthly maintenance, inspect all playground equipment for cracks, rough edges, binding, torn or missing parts, cracked plastic, or rust, and replace any equipment that does not pass inspection to keep kids safe.
