This Hot Surface Warning Label is printed in English and Spanish to help warn caregivers about the hazard of burn injuries and remind them to check surfacing and/or equipment before use.
It measures 2.75" x 5.5" and is designed for indoor and outdoor use. The label is made from white PVC film with a high bond thick adhesive layer, printed with UV ink that is resistant to light/sunshine, and finished with a non-reflective UV mil Luster Lamination.
This label is ideal for metal and low energy plastic surfaces and applications requiring flexibility and high bond adhesive. It meets all ASTM standards for playgrounds and references CPSC Sections 2.1, 2.4.2.1, 2.5.3, 5.3.6, and ASTM #F1487-11 Section 14.2.4.
Placement should allow users and supervisors to see the label from any direction of approach. For open playgrounds, labels may be placed on the equipment itself in a triangulated configuration at 6:00, 10:00, and 2:00 o'clock positions. For fenced-in playgrounds, labels can be placed near or at the entry/entries on a freestanding post at adult eye level.
