This Strangulation Warning Label is designed to inform, warn, and educate about the hazard of a user being strangled on the playground and the steps to take to mitigate it.
It measures 2.75" x 2.75" and is made for indoor and outdoor use. The label uses white PVC film with a high bond thick adhesive layer, is printed with UV ink resistant to light and sunshine, and is coated with a non-reflective UV mil Luster Lamination. It is ideal for metal and low energy plastic surfaces and applications requiring flexibility and high bond adhesive.
This product meets all ASTM standards for playgrounds and references CPSC Section 3.2.1, pages 14 and 15, and ASTM#F1487-11 Section 14.2.3. Quantity discounts are available, and price updates in cart.
Placement guidance: labels must be visible from any direction users and supervisors approach the playground. For open playgrounds (non-fenced), labels can be placed on the equipment itself, including a triangulated configuration at 6:00, 10:00, and 2:00 o'clock positions. For fenced-in playgrounds, most labels can be placed near or at the entry/entries on a freestanding post at adult eye level. In all cases, labels must be placed at adult eye level except for Surfacing Level Markers. Consider covering labels with clear hard plastic to help prevent vandalism and improve adhesion on difficult surfaces. Use round headed screws that are not sharp.
